Don Welch's father (1903 - 1987)

Howard "Dutch" Welch was a standout athlete, coach, businessman, and hunter. The fastest mile runner in the nation in 1924, the three-sport athlete earned school records and All-Conference recognition at Hastings College in Track, Basketball, and Football. In and around sports his entire life, he would call people such as former NFL Coach Monte Kiffen hunting buddies.
